Transformed an unfinished basement into a fully functional living space, completing every aspect of the renovation process. The project involved installing drywall, baseboard heaters, and pot lights to create a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Additionally, we implemented soundproofing measures to enhance privacy and reduce noise transmission throughout the house. To complement the new walls and lighting, we installed durable and stylish flooring, ensuring both practicality and aesthetics were considered.
As part of the renovation, we also rebuilt the staircase leading to the basement, ensuring it was both safe and visually appealing. In anticipation of future additions, such as a basement sauna, we roughed in the necessary mechanicals, laying the groundwork for potential upgrades down the line. Although the painting was deferred to the clients, we ensured that the space was prepped and ready for their personal touch, allowing them to select their preferred colours and apply them at a later stage.
Furthermore, we set up a fully functional laundry room, complete with new plumbing and electrical connections to accommodate laundry appliances. This addition not only adds convenience but also enhances the overall functionality of the basement, providing the homeowners with a dedicated space for household chores. By attending to every detail of the renovation, from structural enhancements to utility installations, we aimed to create a basement that seamlessly integrates into the home's living space while meeting the specific needs and preferences of the clients.
